Jocelyn Pollard (ELL)

Years at Cabrini: 2nd Year

Previous Positions: 16th year of teaching in the Archdiocese. Before coming to Cabrini, Mrs. Pollard taught Spanish.

Degrees: She has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Communication from Rockhurst University and a Masters in Education degree with an emphasis in English Speakers of Other Languages from Concordia University Portland.

How would you describe your teaching style and methods?My goal is for my students to have an appreciation for learning English through oral and written communication.  I model a positive mindset that inspires them to become the best version of themselves. I strive to have an inclusive classroom that creates a safe environment for students to share ideas with one another.

She and her husband live in Lemay with their two German Wirehaired Pointers, their domestic long-haired cat, and seven hens.  She is a life-long learner, traveler, and foodie.
