Children in my classroom LOVE school and know that it is a safe place to learn and grow!
I use a mixture of whole group and small group lessons to reach students at their current level.
I use an experiential, hands on learning activities and experiences in reading and math centers to keep students fully engaged.
Because history is so vast, I try to make sure that I teach about every ethnic group that our school represents.
My teaching goes beyond just the book. I enjoy having time to share real life moments with my students.
I incorporate many activities into my lessons that require student repetition, hand motions, and class chants that keep the whole class engaged.
Throughout the year students have an opportunity to explore a variety of artistic media while applying critical thinking skills to inquiry and self-expression.
Music is important to me because of the power it holds. I want to share that knowledge with the generations to come.
I enjoy teaching music to the primary grades. We focus on rhythm and learn how to read music. 4th graders learn how to play the recorder.
All of my lessons include a little history, rules and to physically demonstrate the skills we learn. I also teach the students how to keep their bodies healthy.
